Friendly staff... location was very handy and the hotel itself was modern and super clean. Lady on the reception was so friendly and offered us water, which was so rare now a days, as everyone is so business minded and trying to mint money.

Depot 195 occupies a renovated brick building in a historic factory site in the centre of Winterthur, 500 metres from the train station. It offers a snack bar and free WiFi access.

I really liked the attitude of the stuff and systematic approach. Biggest kitchen I've seen yet, what really helped out and made me feel like a real human being. In the kitchen I had an access to frying oil and some leftovers from previous stays (like grated cheese and toasts), so I didn't need to buy butter or oil to just use a shot of it. The location was beautiful and just a few minutes from train station. Stuff took care of my belongings while I was already checked out and later allowed to take me a shower, what was very pleasant and helpful.

This hotel is a true hidden gem that the photos simply can't do justice. While the decor might look a bit dated in pictures, in reality, everything is incredibly well-maintained and of high quality. From the moment you arrive, you're met with a comfortable, cozy, and heartwarming atmosphere. The owners' passion is evident in every detail, and their hospitality makes you feel right at home. The location itself is a highlight. It's a pleasant, though not short, 20-minute walk from the station, with a choice of paths either through nature along the river or by the main road. This neighborhood retains a charming, traditional character, which is a welcome contrast to the anonymous, functionalist architecture found in other parts of Winterthur. I wasn't planning on having breakfast, but I'm so glad I did. It was the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy the quality of the spread – from the local cheeses and breads to the surprisingly good tea selection, nothing felt low-cost. For about the price of a single draft beer in Switzerland, it was also incredible value. And to top it all off, there's a charming hotel cat! ❤️

The parking was fine. In Europe, particularly inner cities, parking can be a real headache, but they have their own lot, and it wasn't a problem. They have an excellent restaurant, reasonably priced, and the food was wonderful. The room had AC, not a given in Europe, which really made our stay comfortable. Plenty of plugs and charging stations, chairs, a desk and a table, and the cleanliness was immaculate.

Hotel Work Life Residence am Bahnhof is centrally situated in Winterthur, 200 metres from the train station and near many shops, restaurants and going-out areas.

The location could not be better - overlooking the old town and immediately adjacent to the pedestrian area. Just steps away from cafes, grocery stores, and book stores, etc. Just wonderful - the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful (including with our mountains of luggage). We could not have had a better stay. We had one night to break up a long journey between South Africa and Canada and chose this in lieu of staying at an airport hotel. What a gem! We were so happy with our choice and enjoyed seeing a little slice of Switzerland on our layover.
