Set in Lanzhou, Crowne Plaza Lanzhou New Area by IHG offers free WiFi. The hotel features an indoor pool, fitness centre and room service. A buffet breakfast is available at the hotel. It was near the airport and a perfect place for 1-night layover. Brand new hotel, clean, we had a luxury room and enjoyed the pool and gym. We had lunch, dinner and a buffet breakfast in the hotel and the food was of a high standard with enough delicious Western food options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a free shuttle service to the airport.

The staff were so very helpful. We communicated by translator apps, and some staff had reasonable English. They organised taxis and tours for us with honest and friendly drivers. First class. Breakfast was a good variety of Chinese food. To those critics who complain about a lack of western food I suggest they stay at home in future. The room was great and the bed / pillows very comfortable. On the firm side which is very common in Asia. The manager made a great suggestion for dinner.
