We unfortunately had a last-minute issue during our trip, and he was so helpful and understanding, which really made a difference for us. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely kind and attentive. We truly appreciated his support and hospitality and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

The apartment were spacious, so fresh and clean. I loved the interior decoration, lovely! It was located at the very heart of the town. Close to everything. Groceries stores, restaurants and bars, it was a perfect place. The swimming pool in the rooftop was perfect. You can swim anytime you want. We highly recommend it.

Very comfortable bed and lovely outside seating area for the couple of nights we stayed in. The location was excellent, 5 minutes walk to main strip of bars and restaurants and the beautiful beach. Staff on reception were lovely especially Tyson.

Featuring pool views, Tortuga Beach Villa in Santa Maria provides accommodation, a spa and wellness centre, massage services, a garden, a bar and barbecue facilities. We spent an absolutely fantastic week at this villa (2 adults, 4 kids). It’s spacious, clean and well-equipped, close to the beach and pools and a short taxi ride (or walk, though it’s a bit of a bumpy ride with a stroller) from Santa Maria. The host (JC) was extremely helpful with offering guidance and general assistance if we needed something, and it’s clear that he cares a lot for the villa and keeps it in good condition. The villa area in the resort was not crowded, so all in all a perfect alternative to the bit more chaotic and bustling all-inclusive experience.

Located within 400 metres of Praia de Santa Maria and 800 metres of Funana Casa da Cultura, Zen House Tropical offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Santa Maria. It was big. Well equipped if you wanted to cook. Nice big fridge and a small freezer, more than adequate. The door lock was great as it was coded, no keys to loose. The pool is big and clean and safe, enough loungers for the guests that were there, but it was very quiet so it may be an issue if the property was busier.
