Great location, friendly staff and really good breakfast. Our little cottage was incredibly cosy and perfect for our 1-night-stay. There is a tiny church and cemetery on the grounds which adds an interesting/historical touch.

There is kitchen to share and a restaurant. You can also book jacuzzi with an amazing view. Located in Neskaupstaður in the East Iceland region, Skorrahestar provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The property has mountain and garden views. Skorrahestar is a gem. From the warm greeting by the owners who treat you like family to the excellent beds and showers to the exceptional breakfast (mostly home made from scratch) we had the most wonderful time. You also get full access to the huge and more than well equipped kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. Going riding is a pleasure as well, the horses are well schooled and the surroundings are beautiful. We will definitely go back there next time we're in the East Fjords.

Tehúsið Hostel & Guesthouse has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Egilsstadir. Very large rooms. Easy check-in. Even if there was a pub next door, it didn't bother us. Parking directly in front of the room. The kitchen has a lot of dishes to use. We saw the aurora for the first time just in front of hostel!

To my absolute delight, I couldn't have been more mistaken. The room I stayed in was nothing short of fantastic, and the restaurant left me in awe. The staff, without exception, was both incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. However, the real gem here is the owner, who boasts an impressive depth of knowledge about the local wildlife. Every one of my numerous questions was met with boundless enthusiasm and a wealth of expertise. It's safe to say that I'm eagerly anticipating a return trip, set for the upcoming summer or fall season, in pursuit of a memorable fishing adventure. This place exceeded my expectations on every level, and I can't wait to experience it all over again.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Very cosy hotel with nice and comfortable room. Great ambience in the hotel lobby that comes with a nice snowy view in winter was exceptionally nice to hang out. Our room faces the town. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Set in Skjöldólfsstaðir, Hotel Studlagil offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, all rooms come with a desk. What didn’t I like…the stay was wonderful at Hotel Studlagil. The staff person was friendly and even shared a lovely conversation with us in the evening. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in this area of Iceland!
