Set in a 12th-century building in Gubbio, Nikis Resort has 2 pools, 3 bars and a restaurant. It offers free WiFi and air-conditioned accommodation with wooden-beam ceilings. everything, room, food, hospitality, location ... All top. A shame we couldn't stay longer than a single night.

Hotel Duomo is just 15 steps up the stone stairway from Orvieto's majestic Gothic Cathedral. All rooms feature air conditioning, an LCD TV with DVD player, and a small table with 2 chairs. Can't praise enough this hotel. The staff was hospitable, the rooms were clean. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, the breakfast was a great selection and the location of the hotel is prime since it's just adjacent to the Duomo.

Hotel Il Palazzo is set in the left wing of Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, a 16th-Century building halfway between Assisi's Basilica of Saint Francis and Piazza del Comune square. Most friendly and helpful staff! Generally very nice atmosphere of the place. Location could not be better (if your aim is Basilica San Francesco).

Surrounded by olive trees in a charming location on the hills of Assisi, Hotel La Terrazza RESTAURANT & SPA is just 800 metres from the historic centre and close to the sports centre. The room was very clean. Bed comfortable-breakfast wonderful with many different options, Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view from the hotel of Assisi.
