The whole panorama of Modica before you - breathtaking both during the day and at night. Super helpful staff. I had booked a standard room but, on arrival, we were given the choice of our chosen room or an upgrade to a superior one at no extra cost. Naturally, we chose the upgrade and enjoyed a much larger room with sofa and chairs. The bed was extremely comfortable. The view from our balcony incredible and, from the hotel's dining room, an even better one, with its expanse of floor to ceiling windows. We were there in April so didn't use the pool but it looked very inviting and well laid out. Reception staff were helpful with restaurant suggestions and also booked a taxi for us to go to Scicli on one of the days. To get into Modica, we chose to walk down - and back again! A LOT of steps but it didn't take long at all. And there's also a very nice restaurant just a short walk from the hotel, along the same road (with the same stunning view). Only slight negative at the hotel, for me, was the aircon; we were there in early April and they don't switch on the cooling function until later in the month. With the minibar right next to the bed putting out some heat, I did find it pretty warm during the night and had to open the balcony door. Bonus of that was hearing owls calling to each other across the town! We would definitely recommend staying here for a truly memorable time.

Great location, with available parking. It is in the new part of the city, close to the hospital and most services; the old part, which the touristic hotspot, can be reached by walking (~20') or car. Breakfast has a good assortment of packaged drinks and snacks, including gluten-free options, and there's also a fridge in the room and an amazing pastry shop nearby. Supermarkets are also close. The host is very friendly and available to help.

Situated in Noto, 16 km from Vendicari Natural Reserve, AgriBarocco features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. An absolute must-stay! Everything about AgriBarocco was amazing. The property is family-run by the kindest people who were so helpful. I reached out before our trip and they helped us arrange a car rental before we arrived, brought us to the rental place to pick it up where all that was left to do was pay and sign, brought us back when we had to drop the car off, and dropped us off at Catania airport for a very reasonable rate when it was time for us to go (we did not want to!). While there, Rosario and Vincenzo provided wonderful recommendations for all the nearby areas to visit and made us feel at home. The homemade breakfast is delicious with everything you could want including house-made yogurt and marmalade made with citrus right from the groves. We also took a cooking class onsite with Nonna and her sister which was one of the best things we did while in Sicily - made plenty of food, included wine, and was able to enjoy with the other guests. The grounds are beautiful and very relaxing. Will definitely be back!
