This is such a good place to stay to experience the remoteness of this part of Sweden. The rooms were comfortable. Shared bathrooms are clean and the sauna is really good. The food served at the restaurant at breakfast, lunch and dinner was exceptional. I particularly loved lunchtimes. The kitchens for cooking your own meals were clean and well provisioned with kitchen equipment. Friendly atmosphere throughout. The tours we booked were great and they have a good range of equipment to hire from their shop for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Surrounded by mountain nature, the family-owned Camp Ripan .is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre. A Perfect Stay! Our stay at Camp Ripan was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We spent five magical nights here, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from inside our room almost every single night! It was an unforgettable experience. The facilities are top-notch, offering everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing food. The breakfast is of such high quality—fresh, delicious, and with so many great options. Lunch was also fantastic, with well-prepared meals that tasted incredible. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations, and we are already planning to come back again! Everything was clean and seemed to be fairly recently renovated. Communal spaces were clean with quite well equipped kitchen. Sauna was great and lake was good for swimming. Location next to the main road is very useful.
