I am in awe with this place. This is not a resort, or hotel. It felt like home. Its just so peaceful and calm. The lotus pond brings about such a serene scene that it's impossible not to be enthralled by it. The people here are so polite and helpful. They make you feel right a home. Its away from the city life and so silent that you can sleep like a baby. You can recharge yourself at this place. Talking about the rooms they are huge and have everything from refrigerator to kettle, to hair dryer. It has also a cute breakfast table overlooking the lake. There are a lot of fishes in the lake and also you can see lot of birds here like kingfisher, crane, etc. Its nestled within the nature and I am definitely coming here some time again to feel the warmth of this place again. They also have bicycles here which you can take and ride around.

Baan Sakuna Hotel has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Chiang Khong. This place is absolutely spectacular. The room was huge and very comfy with a beautiful view over the hills and the river in the distance. The food is fantastic at the restaurant and they go out of their way to ensure you have everything you could need. For breakfast they even got up early so that we could eat something and have coffee before heading for the Laos border. The owner is fantastic and so very friendly and pleasant. Set up our taxi to the border and everything. Can't say enough good things about the stay. It was a very zen and pleasant stay.

The dining experience was another highlight—breakfasts were fresh and varied, while the dinners at the Thai restaurant were simply outstanding. Every meal was a delight! The hotel staff deserves special praise—they were always smiling, incredibly helpful, and genuinely engaged in making our stay perfect. Our spacious and spotless room, along with excellent room service, made our stay even more comfortable. Beyond the hotel, it served as an ideal base for exploring the beautiful region of Chiang Rai. Nestled on the island in the middle of the Kok River, The Riverie by Katathani offers luxurious rooms surrounded by lush garden, diverse plants and seasonal flowers. My stay at the Riverie was fabulous. What a beautiful and cheerful atmosphere with a wonderfully attentive staff that was very helpful with our day trip planning. The breakfast buffet offered a huge selection and the restaurants inside the property were also great.
