We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport; essentially after a long day of travel to Dominica, we just wanted a quick taxi ride to a hotel to relax and unwind. The hotel was a great choice for this. We were there in mid-February 2025 and there was evidence of a 'former glory' (prior to a hurricane, perhaps) in the form of an outdoor courtyard, bar and stage. There was construction in process and I have hopes for a bright future for this facility as the entire staff was extremely welcoming, attentive and informative. Since there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity, we requested a dinner there, which was superb as was the breakfast the following morning. After breakfast, we walked about 45 minutes, mostly downhill and quite scenic, back to the airport to get a rental car and began our exploration of Dominica. Some travelers might choose to do it differently and immediately leave the airport area to 'see the sights'. I have no regrets; primarily because of the friendly staff at the Classique International.

Discover peace and nature next to the Pagua River, where you can relax in a natural pool or float gently downstream on a river tube one of the most popular ways to start your stay. I really had a great time at the Hibiscus Valley Inn. The location is really great, I love the east side of Dominica. If you like to be a bit secluded and feel close to nature, you will love this place. I was primarily here to hike (Waitukubuli Trail), without a rental car it's probably a bit difficult here. But if you want to experience Dominica, the nature and the simplicity, this place is just right. The staff at the resort are just great, Nigel, Shine and Rita, to name but a few, are simply an asset. I felt so comfortable and wanted for absolutely nothing. I will be back, next time with my lovely wife. Thank you so much Hibiscus Valley Inn for a great stay.
