Located in Toab in the Orkney Islands region, Taylor's Rest provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. This chalet was wonderful. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking our own meals. There was a generous basket with breakfast items, chips, cookies and milk, juice and cheese in the frig. The bathroom was large and well appointed for seniors/handicapped (although we didn't need this). The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable (if you like a semi-firm). The windows open for fresh air at night. There was plenty of room to hang/put away clothes. There were books and publications with regional information. We had a wonderful stay!

Fantastic stay here, the perfect place to explore Orkney from. Dorothy was wonderful and ensured everything was well organised, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic after exploring outdoors on the colder, windier days. A short drive to Kirkwall township in a quiet setting. Highly recommended!

Karrawa Guest House, a property with a garden, is located in Kirkwall, 2.7 km from Scapa Beach, 17 km from Maeshowe, as well as 19 km from Standing Stones of Stenness. Fiona and Colin were brilliant hosts. The breakfasts are fresh and cooked to order, along with a wide selection of cereals and juices. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a big closet for hanging up rain-dampened clothes. It’s a 20-minute walk to the centre of Kirkwall, or a 6£ cab ride if you’re coming back from the pubs. There is ample parking on the property.

Set in Kirkwall, 17 km from Maeshowe, Sanderlay Guest House has a garden, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. Had a beautiful car ferry ride to Orkney Island. At Sanderlay Guest House we had a large, comfortable kitchenette room upstairs. Plenty of room with a sofa! Even had a table/chairs for our meals. Location is in a neighborhood and is very quiet. Easy check-in and out. They had a nice dining room and the breakfast was delicious. Shower was great with wonderful hot water.

Royal Oak Guesthouse, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Orkney, 2.3 km from Scapa Beach, 17 km from Maeshowe, as well as 19 km from Standing Stones of Stenness. Very friendly, welcoming host who was keen to help with advice about places to go, things to do and accommodate all our requests (eg Gluten free breakfast) with a cheerful disposition. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the location was ideally situated for our needs, although for others it might be a little too far out of the main centre of town. Having a safe space to park our car was also very much appreciated.
