This chalet was wonderful. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking our own meals. There was a generous basket with breakfast items, chips, cookies and milk, juice and cheese in the frig. The bathroom was large and well appointed for seniors/handicapped (although we didn't need this). The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable (if you like a semi-firm). The windows open for fresh air at night. There was plenty of room to hang/put away clothes. There were books and publications with regional information. We had a wonderful stay!

The lovely host Dorothy welcomed me when I arrived, and the locally made cheese, biscuits and shortbread were great!

Fiona and Colin were brilliant hosts. The breakfasts are fresh and cooked to order, along with a wide selection of cereals and juices. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a big closet for hanging up rain-dampened clothes. It’s a 20-minute walk to the centre of Kirkwall, or a 6£ cab ride if you’re coming back from the pubs. There is ample parking on the property.

Had a beautiful car ferry ride to Orkney Island. At Sanderlay Guest House we had a large, comfortable kitchenette room upstairs. Plenty of room with a sofa! Even had a table/chairs for our meals. Location is in a neighborhood and is very quiet. Easy check-in and out. They had a nice dining room and the breakfast was delicious. Shower was great with wonderful hot water.

Such a beautiful hotel. The host is so helpful and accomodating since we arrived pretty late. He help with instructions and good advice. The breakfast was amazing and the room/bathroom very modern and comfortable. We loved it!
