The whole island of Malta is not that big, so it doesn't realy matter in which part of island you are located. Birżebbuga is less crowded with tourists and offers long walk along the coast. It has two nice sandy beaches with clear water. There is also a playground on the Pretty bay beach.

Valletta has so much history to explore in lovely surroundings. The trip to Three Cities by small boat is really beautiful and the local buses are ideal for exploring further afield. The Valletta circular bus route is ideal for getting round the city and seeing the fantastic views. Plenty of great Restaurants especially if you like Italian food.

Luqa is as close you will get of feeling like being on a movie set somewhere down in Mexico. Nice small friendly community, close to Airport , the Lidl has everything you need to survive the first couple of days on Malta or indefinetly. Very convenient for starters on Malta.

Cospicua - being one of the 3 cities - was very quaint and generally quiet. Very easy to walk around yet convenient to explore other parts of Malta with good bus links and the ferry to Valletta. It also had a good selection of cafes and restaurants. Generally a very nice atmosphere and I would certainly consider staying here again.

this neighbourhood is quite old and noisy, there is nothing to see specifically. It is only to sleep and eat. It's is at the crossroad of almost all destination in Malta so good place for an hotel. But I would suggest to take and hotel next to Valetta or well equipped
