A huge apartment, extremly clean (and I mean it), with everything working perfectly. Close to the airport too. Very quiet rooms, Lidl nearby, buses to any destination (Valletta, Gozo, etc) nearby too. We were very happy with our stay here! The apartment is so big that you can do sport simply by going from the sleeping rooms to the kitchen :) We already regret leaving it!

Fairwinds - Double Room with Ensuite - Luqa Airport - Self Check In & Out available offers accommodations in Luqa, 3.7 miles from Valletta Waterfront and 4.1 miles from Upper Barrakka Gardens. The location was perfect for a stay in this part of Malta. Getting there at night from the Airport on foot in thirty minutes. Do not worry if on Google maps you see photos of construction sites - those are outdated photos! It is all built and paved now, nice to walk on (July 2025). Facilities and cleanliness were spot on.

Private One Bedroom Apartment close to Airport in Luqa is located in Luqa, just 3.3 miles from Valletta Waterfront and 3.7 miles from Upper Barrakka Gardens. The building was absolutely spotless from the street door to the flat interior and it was fully equipped: fridge, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee and breakfast items, toaster, iron and board, hairdryer… the air con/heater worked perfectly, the shower was strong and there was a smart tv with Netflix, etc. The host was absolutely lovely and very accommodating, communication was clear and quick. He also gave me a few tips for the area including local restaurants. It’s a 18 minutes walk to the airport or a 4 minutes (5€) uber/bolt. I highly recommend the place!

It is one of the most unique I've had the pleasure of staying in. Unfortunately I had to leave at 4am to catch a flight. I am a builder so appreciate all the effort they put into this beautiful hotel.

It's a nice place where to rest and be quite during the whole day. People are nice, and everyone can speak english very well. Well connected with all the most important places of the island, but keep in mind that you can't be in rush when waiting a bus in Malta. For the rest, great experience!

this neighbourhood is quite old and noisy, there is nothing to see specifically. It is only to sleep and eat. It's is at the crossroad of almost all destination in Malta so good place for an hotel. But I would suggest to take and hotel next to Valetta or well equipped

Good central location for a visit to Malta if you want an alternative to the bustle and noise of Valletta. Very much a town where people live their lives rather than a 'tourist trap'. Good access to local buses. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars in the town. We enjoyed a wonderful at Mennula, which has a lovely roof terrace and offered a blend of Sicilian and Maltese food and some great wine. Very convenient for the main Malta airport which can mean a bit of aircraft noise, which we didn't find a problem. The bell on the main Church in the centre chimes the quarter hour all day and all night!

Attard is in a central position between Valetta and Mdina...
Attard is in a central position between Valetta and Mdina with regular buses to both. It is a charming village and we went to Jalies a high end coffee and light bites cafe (but does burgers, pasta too). It is walking distance frm Balzan, another lovely village, with plenty of places to eat and drink. Zmerc bar is lively and brings endless free tapas- very good value and fun!

It is really nice spot, although you could go a bit closer to the sea. You can get around quite easily using the city buses. However, you should buy a Tallinja card for that, as buying separate tickets will not pay out (price is 2.5 euros at driver per 2hour trip). In contrast, for 25 euros you can get 7-day bus card (with many different options available). It will save you a lot.
