Mercure Maldives Kooddoo is an adult-only resort with 69 villas available in 6 different categories. Everything was perfect... my first, but certainly not the last!!! I decided to travel at the very last minute and I must say that reservation team has been super helpful ie with the domestic flight, upon arrival to Malé, at the lounge... When in the hotel, it was just like a dream!! All was amazing... looking forward to returning there soon!!!

Facing the beachfront, The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah offers 5-star accommodation in Gaafu Alifu Atoll and features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre. Simply put, this is a truly magnificent place to stay in Maldives and there’s hardly anything one can compliant about. We visited The Residence in February, and it has been a fabulous experience. The island is conveniently located within a short boat ride from the local airport of Koodoo but at the same time warrants a feeling that you’re in a secluded paradise hideaway. It’s large enough so that you never feel it’s crowded and at the same time small enough to get from one end to another within a few-minutes bike ride (well-maintained bikes are provided complimentary for each villa). Beaches are beautiful with powder like sand, clean (though we’ve occasionally seen some debris) and the whole island enjoys lush greenery with hundreds of palm trees providing much desired shade and the jungle-like experience. The west side of the island seems a bit prettier due to spectacular green-blue shades of water; the east side of the island has seagrass at the bed which although very much needed to protect local ecosystems provides less spectacular water colours. The ability to go to the adjacent island via the wooden bridge connecting them is really nice and you can enjoy the sun at the sand bar located in between. The staff has been extremely nice and helpful, from the moment we’ve been taken over at the Male airport, through the journey to the island, at the reception, restaurants, water sports centre and everywhere else, we’ve always felt well taken care of. The villas are clean, extremely spacious (bathroom area is enormous), well maintained and equipped. Beds are comfortable, there’s plenty of seating area, AC and Wi-Fi work well, mini fridge is restocked every day. Again, the lush greenery separating villas in a very natural way provides privacy and shade, and most importantly the sea view is not obstructed. The private pool is amazing and provide the opportunity to cool off in the heat of the sun, at 1.

Providing free WiFi, a sun terrace with a swimming pool, private beach area and garden, Kondey Villas is located in Kondey. It starts with the flight from the Male above wonderful atolls and continues with the speedboat ride, which is a cool experience itself. Next, Kondey Island is a local and not crowded island, which is great if you like calm and peaceful places with empty beaches (and almost no people around you). The hotel itself is great: the room, the pool, and so on. The staff is very hospitable, helpful, and proactive, which is awesome. Also, the bikini beach (the only place you can be in a bikini) is amazing: it has palms, sand, sunbeds, smooth entry into the water, and a coral reef close to the shore, so you can go snorkeling by yourself and see plenty of colorful fish (and not dangerous sharks), and if lucky, even turtles or stingrays. I'd like to recommend taking the dolphin cruise and snorkeling with turtles — it is incredible. The chat with the hotel is very friendly, they provide additional information and support with the transfer, so don't hesitate to use it.

Offering quiet street views, Suncoral Maldives in Kondey provides accommodation, a garden and a shared lounge. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guesthouse is run by wonderful locals who strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They are not just regular stuff, but family and friends in a tight knit community, who genuinely care about the service they provide. I do not usually write reviews, but in this case I made an exception as the whole experience was so amazing that I wanted to make sure that the guesthouse and the lovely people who run it get the recognition they deserve. Throughout my stay, I was in constant communication with the owner via WhatsApp, if I needed more sunscreen, wanted to have an early dinner, or arrange a snorkel trip and be taken out on a boat, they immediately answered and invariably made everything possible. Location: The guesthouse is located on a small island of 200 inhabitants, with untouched nature, an amazing coral reef perfect for snorkeling, and a tight-knit community of locals living their daily lives. The island is completely safe and the locals are welcoming and curious about foreigners. At one time, on my way back from the beach, I was invited into the house of a handful of locals who offered me some traditional food and had an interesting discussion with me about their customs and way of life. The property The property was built very recently by the owner, and was very much up to the European standards, super clean and very cozy. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and an electric kettle with a selection of coffees and teas that you can make in your room. All meals are served in a dining area just outside of the house, where you can look at the surrounding nature while eating. Snorkel gear and beach towels are also provided free of charge. The beach The beach is just a few hundred meters from the property, full of coconut trees under which you can lay, or just leave your belongings there while snorkeling. Most of the time I was the only one at the beach, or else only saw 2-3 other people a few hundred meters away from me.

Great atmosphere, food, friendly staff, lovely room and amenities. Loved the spa as well! Will definitely return in future if we can.
