We decided to visit because we were going to Newfoundland...
We decided to visit because we were going to Newfoundland and we had watched the TV show Saint-Pierre. That is how we learned of the island and decided since we were this close we needed to visit. We booked a couple of tours through Elea Tours which turned out to be exceptional.Guest review byDOREENCanada - 8.0
We really enjoyed the easy access to nature.
We really enjoyed the easy access to nature. Hiking trails are just outside the town of St Pierre. Île aux Marins is not to be missed, whether as a self guided visit or with a guide. The city tour with Transport Largerie was a great way to get an overview of the town, its panoramic viewpoints and history. The food was overall great and portions were generous. Our favorite place for dinner was Bar A Quai. It is easy to walk everywhere but it is a bit unnerving to walk the narrow streets that lack proper sidewalks with cars driving quite fast. It felt like quite the change compared to Miquelon which is so much less poplulated and much more slow paced!Guest review byJoseeCanada - 8.0
A lovely little taste of France 90 minutes from Canada.
A lovely little taste of France 90 minutes from Canada. Lots of interesting history and shops. Great food. Don’t leave without visiting a boulangerie for delicious baked goods. If you’re lucky you’ll see sealsGuest review byMcEachnieCanada
