Bangor was beautiful.
Bangor was beautiful. Hiking all around and a lots of beautiful flowers. Blaze Pizza was really good downtown and also Sea Dog Brewery. The area is easy to navigate and the Penobscot River runs through town. White water rafting was amazing up in Millinocket.Guest review bySullivanUnited States - 10.0
Bangor and the surrounding areas has so much to offer.
Bangor and the surrounding areas has so much to offer. Five minutes from the hotel you have several food locations to choose from which is always nice. Stephen King's house is only about 10 minutes away from there. We also took a drive into Bar Harbor for a Lobster/Seal cruise which was very interesting. That town is very nice with plenty of restaurants and things to do. We also took a day trip to Acadia National Park (which is the same way toward Bar Habor) and that is a MUST see . Beautiful, leave plenty of time in your day to explore and definitely schedule online ($6.00) for the Cadillac Mountain Summit Loop, it's the highest point of the Eastern Seaboard. This fee is separate than the entrance fee from the park pass. It's on a time frame so you must purchase online they can't even do this for you at their Visitor Center. The $6.00 fee is not per person but, per vehicle. So many other neat things to see and do. So much that we will be making a second trip back up.Guest review byJacquelineUnited States - 10.0
Having lived nearby in the past, we knew it quite well.
Having lived nearby in the past, we knew it quite well. We were there for an appointment. However, Bangor has grown quite a lot in the past 10 years and is an attractive city with much to do. It is a great 'hub' for venturing beyond to Downeast shore spots; Mt. Desert Island; north to 'the County'; or even northwest into the mountains.Guest review byStephenUnited States
