Located along its own private beach, Gemma Resort offers views over the Red Sea. It features indoor and outdoor pools, and wellness centre. Several restaurants and bars are also available. We are group that was travelling around in Europe before reaching Egypt and Marsa Alam was our first destination in Egypt. Gemma resort set the bar high to our expectations for the rest of the trip and an extraordinary example for Egyptian hospitality. Everything in the hotel was perfect. The rooms spacious and cleans, pools clean and in different locations and beaches were amazing with great snorkeling spots. I can not speak enough about the food, no moment in the day where food is not served and in different cuisines with amazing quality. The most interesting part to me thing is that everyone is assuring you are having good time in your stay and I literally mean EVERYONE. Whether it is Mr Mahmoud, Hazem and Mohamed on the front desk or Atef and Abdo on the pool and the beach or Chef Mohamed Salah in the kitchen, every single one of these gentlemen made sure that our stay was comfortable and did not hesitate to provide the required assistance.

Featuring a private beach, Blend Elphistone Resort Marsa Alam is located in the south of the Red Sea. It offers 4 outdoor pools, a diving center and a gym. This large resort is 30 minutes from Marsa Alam airport. It served the best food I’ve ever had in Egypt during many years of travel there. One evening there was a superb filet mignon. The restaurant service team is really attentive and polite. The gardens are also really beautiful and continuously tended to. The resort has four pools, one is a quiet adult-only pool and another is heated which was nice now in the colder off season. The resort is not sheltered by wind as much, so very windy conditions result in a red flag requiring guests to stay inside the reef which still lets you swim in the ocean in the shallow. There was some animation by the pool and beach area, however finishing at a 11pmish at the latest.

Facing the beachfront, Pickalbatros Vita Resort - Portofino Marsa Alam offers 4-star accommodation in Abu Dabab and has free bikes, outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre. Our children (8 and 11 years old) especially loved the aquapark, which provided hours of fun and excitement. The beachfront location was beautiful, but with a pronounced water reflux, which could be seen as a negative thing or a positive one: an opportunity to explore the beach when the water receded. Our room was very big, nice and clean. Cleanliness throughout the resort was impressive and the friendliness of the staff made our stay even more pleasant. Our kids also really enjoyed the VR games, and the person at the VR movie area was fantastic with them. The resort itself is quite large, which might not suit guests who prefer a smaller, more compact setting. However, there are quadracycles and a shuttle bus to help get around, which made it manageable. It’s worth mentioning that the resort is far from any cities or towns, so going for a walk outside the resort isn’t really an option. That said, there is plenty to do on-site, and there are also organized excursions available, like safaris and other tours, if you’d like to explore the surrounding area. The food was delicious, with a wide variety and plenty of restaurant options to choose from. The Mediterreanean and Soprano restaurants had amazing sea views. Overall, we had a great family holiday here and would happily recommend it to other families looking for a fun, relaxing getaway.

Sentido Reef Oasis Suakin Resort features a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Marsa Alam City. This hotel is a real five stars experience. Things are smooth and seamless, and it's a perfect place to relax and unwind. You can tell there's a lot of work behind the scene, and huge attention to details, which we appreciate a lot. A special thanks to Mohamed at the reception who was efficient and helped with our requests. The shuttle is on time and very comfortable. The beach is great and ideal for snorkeling and the staff there are quite helpful and friendly, and you find plenty of space if you need a calm place. One important thing to note, the rooms are really soundproof (which you don't find in all the hotels), and the beds are comfy, so good quality sleep is guaranteed. Food quality is great and you have a good variety to choose from and it's great that you can eat outdoors with beautiful views. The pools are clean and spacious, the gym has brand new equipment, so overall the facilities are top notch.

Pickalbatros Sea World Resort - Marsa Alam- "Aqua Park" has a fitness centre, garden, a private beach area and shared lounge in Quseir. Our family of six loved our stay at Pickalbatros Sea World Resort. The resort is vast, modern, and very well maintained. The staff is exceptionally kind and accommodating, with a special mention to Mr. Ahmed Elsehemy from the reception, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean, beautiful, and well-equipped with all the amenities a family needs. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. The resort’s pools and water slides were a highlight for our family. The children also had a lot of fun at the VR arcade (included!). There is a wide variety of food options catering to different tastes. We wish we would have stayed longer. We highly recommend it to families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. We would love to return!
