Beautiful property and grounds, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, air conditioning (big plus for someone who sleep in cool temp), awesome swimming pool all by ourselves, warm and personable hosts (Fabiola, Markus and David are super friendly and helpful)! The location cannot be better! It is quiet, safe yet just a short drive to the beaches, restaurants and Cahuita National Park. We took the great advice from other travelers to stay in Cahuita area rather than Puerto Viejo!! There are great restaurant options in Puerto Viejo but too busy and run down for our liking. We love our stay at Plaza Tucanito where allow us to explore beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of dining options in Cahuita town. Cahuita National Park is definitely a must visit! We went in the morning and saw tons of wildlife and enjoyed the calm and beautiful Playa Blanca! We also enjoyed Playa Grande en Cahuita : )

The perfect place to stay in Cahuita. Anett already provided lots of valuable support during the planning stage of our trip and made organizing easy for us. It was a pleasure to stay in her well-equipped garden apartment, where she was highly attentive to her guests' needs and always ready to help. A big thank you to Anett and her husband for their hospitality and for making our stay in Cahuita so enjoyable (including listening to distant howler monkey sounds in the early morning)! We would return any time. Highly recommended.

The location was amazing - right on the beach and the staff were fantastic. It wasn’t too busy with a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious as was the food in general and the cocktails (including our welcome one!). The room had some frills - 2 fridges and very comfy new beds. We loved hanging out with the team and listening to the local Calypso band. I’d highly recommend this place for a laid-back low key beach stay.

The location in the middle of town was perfect. The apartment on the ground floor was roomy and comfortable, and we appreciated the air conditioning to take the edge off of the humidity and help dry our clothes. The Buddha café across the street had a complementary drink and we ate two meals there because it was such a great view and excellent menu. Also, the staff who met us at the Pavone pier and also met us at Tortugero boat taxi dock were excellent at directing us and getting us to the right places. They also recommended a tour company for kayaking and hikes that we used and we were very happy with their services as well.
