It was a great trip to Lamu. The hotel owner will give you a map with detailed information about Lamu and will also tell you the transportation price in advance for reference. The view from the rooftop tower is great, you can watch the sunrise, the breakfast is delicious, the room is very comfortable, and I had many great conversations with the owner in the evening. I hope the business will continue to improve.

We loved so much about Jua House: the coffee and pastries freshly baked on the premises every afternoon on the roof terrace with its stunning views of the town and the sea, the happy friendly staff, the sense of complete safety and relaxation, the Shela location looking over the rooftops, just minutes up from Peponi, Bahari and the beach, the delicious breakfast, the well-traveled regulars (some who have come to Lamu many times, and tellingly choose Jua). Gorgeous room, with hammock on the balcony, bonus outside shower, fridge, stylish toiletries. Nothing not to like. Just gorgeous.

We loved the decor, the quiet situation and the breakfast served by Emmanuel who hosted perfectly. It felt like a real home, not an anonymous guest house. The beach was incredibly clean and despite the poverty very little was being hawked so it was truly peaceful. Shela is far preferable to Lamu.

Chris is an amazing host. The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!

The locations is a gem. Away from the HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF LAMU. There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

The hotel arranged for transportation from the airport, which was a delightful short boat ride and felt very VIP. Staff was very professional, helpful and above all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel grounds feel like a little quiet oasis, so if you don't feel like doing much you can just spend the morning at the pool.

Offering an outdoor pool, garden and a restaurant, Jannat House is located in Lamu Old Town. It is situated a short walk away from the Waterfront and the Main Road. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

Jannat house is very very romantic! The house is built in typical Swahili style and it lies in the centre of Lamu. It is super cosy, beautiful, rustic with many beautiful plants around and an amazing small pool in the centre of the house, next to a bar. The highlight (besides romantic style of the house with many balconies and stairs) were the people working there! Caroline and the rest of the staff were amazing! super cool, helpful, constantly around making sure we have everything we need. They also prepare the freshest food and the breakfasts were great. Thank you so so much fot this beautiful experience! They are also well known in Lamu and well conected and can help you with tips on where to go and how to reach it. Great!!
