We had an absolutely amazing stay at Whisky Point Resort, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!! A special shoutout to Mufaris and Murthala for their outstanding and precise service—they went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The highlight of our stay was the incredible food and drinks. The iced tea was the best we’ve ever tasted, and the pizza was absolutely divine! Every bite and sip transported us to a place of pure bliss. Whisky Point Resort truly feels like a little paradise nestled within an already paradise-like island. The serene ambiance, combined with the warmth and hospitality of the staff, makes this a must-visit destination. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience. We’ll be back for sure!

We received a very warm welcome, with lots of smiles and a pineapple juice 😀 this guesthouse is run by Iqbal and his lovely staff and he took care of us from the first to the last minute. The location is amazing, quiet and right at the beach, and walking distance to the rather noisy and ore crowed center of the village, which was just perfect for us. We asked for a room with air-conditioning and the aircon worked perfectly and cooled down the room very quickly. The bed is big and comfortable, the room equipped with everything necessary to feel comfortable and have some space to unpack the bags. The non aircon rooms have each a cute front terrace equipped with a table and a sitting area. The breakfast varies daily, at least during our stay, and is cooked and prepared with much love by the most lovely assistant lady who gives an extra warm touch to this place. We fell in love especially with the guesthouse staff and owner, their friends and family as the are all warm-hearted and welcoming people, that help and care and share at all times. If you want an authentic and welcoming place, this could be your home in Arugam Beach. We also, during season, recommend asking if the have wood apple juice, which is one if the best juices we ever had. We left wishing to stay there once again in the future and submerge again into this very lovely space the created just right at the beach. We had great conversations and left warm hearted, missing them already! Go for it, you won't be disappointed!!!! If there were more IQBALs in this world, the world would be a better place. The location, exactly on the beach is wonderful. The rooms with sea view, which are large and bright, have a small individual terrace that allows you to enjoy the beach without treading on the sand. From the second floor, you overlook the entire bay and you can watch the ballet of fishermen leaving and returning from the open sea with their fish. All hotel staff are particularly friendly and try to help guests as much as possible. During my stay, I was able to take advantage of the covered rooftop to do my morning gym thanks to Mr Lucky, the manager, who allowed me access. He and his employees have always been attentive to ensuring that I lacked nothing. The continental breakfast at the hotel is original and tasty. The restaurant is also very good with attentive service.

Beautiful sea views in a peaceful setting. The place feels private and is run by a lovely family who are so welcoming, kind, and accommodating - they really made us feel at home. The location is ideal if you want to be slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay, while still being just an easy walk into the main area. Would highly recommend!

Our stay at Beach Wave Hotel has been the best experience we've had on our holiday. The room is very comfortable, and has a lovely balcony with hammoch (beach view) which is perfect to relax in after a long day out. The location was excellent, it is a 05 second walk to the beach and is ideally located to all necessary amenities, e.g. restaurants , bars, supermarkets, ATMs, etc. Our experience would not have been possible without Beach Waves extremely kind and tireless host, Naleem, who is attentive to his guests' every needs. Silmir organised our travel to Arugam Bay, and to the airport, he also arranged for our surf lessons, and the excursions we were interested in. SIlmir does not overcharge or take a commission on any of these services, he simply provides you the best price and best person for the job. We surfed with the best surf school in Arugam Bay, and he was even kind enough to assist with getting a special massage for my partner's sprained ankle. Highly recommend this place and Value for the stay! Beach Wave Hotel is really the only option to choose when deciding where to stay in Arugam Bay!

Came for a few nights… stayed for the vibe. Planned to stay 2–3 nights, ended up staying over a week! Cozy privacy curtains, a bonus kitchen, and a relaxing upstairs space for chilling or yoga. But the highlight? The owner. Always helpful, arranged my transport, and even walked with me personally. A big, kind teddy bear who works so hard and truly deserves all the love!
