This is a well located new hotel and we had a very good experience with this place. The room was clean, de food was really amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpfull. They played with my daughter and take care of her during we had breakfast. The beach and the place is quiet, the Lighthouse area and the sunrise is so wonderfull. The location is not far from the famous and busy beaches for both directions. For example with taxi we could go to Mirissa beach and the Coconut Hill for around 25-35 minutes. If you are looking for a peacefull place as a starting point with a hotel which worth the money because of its service, location and people you can find it in here.

The design of this place is incredible!!! Botique feel to it. Great atmosphere! By the ocean, can listen to the waves all night! Beautiful scenery around the swimming pool. Great breakfast served with care and high aestetics! Nice attentive staff! They let us check in early and enjoy the scenic pool area!

I enjoyed my staying in Talalla Leisure. The owner was very helpful. I have some stomach issues and can't eat asian food. I asked to cook what was suitable for my stomach and the owner did his best. For breakfast they serve tea/coffee/fresh juices. If you are not good with traditional local breakfast, then ask for a toast, butter, jam and eggs. The owner can even make an aurvedic green soup for you. The hotel has a private beach, although it is ok for relaxing and sunbathing only. There is no good access to the ocean due to rocks and many urchins occupying the water. It takes about 7 min to get to Talalla Beach (1.3 km long beach) with nice access to the water. Keep in mind that its pretty steep way from and to the hill where the hotel situated to get to the beaches. I had a knee surgery few months ago and was really happy to exercise. The owner is always there to help. I injured my toe and needed to go to the pharmacy. He rode me to the pharmacy to get the medication. The room had no hair dryer, although if you need - just ask for one. There were couple mugs and an electric kettle, teabags. The ocean water is extremely clean and nicely warm.

After a bad experience in near by homestay from the moment we arrived in Ocean breeze, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality from Janaka who runs the villa. Villa is located just a few steps from the beach. Beach is wide, safe to swim and perfect for surf. Although mornings and late afternoons were busy with surfers you have a feeling it is still an undiscovered paradise, almost private because of the wideness of the beach, secluded from big crowds and city noise.  There is a turtle hatchery right in front of the villa and a restaurant and surf school runned by a friendly family. The room was clean with comfortable bed and all the amenities you need for the perfect tranquil stay.  Overall, we couldn't be happier with our stay, we will come back next year...

What a nice place close to the lighthouse. Definitely recommended: clean, lovely hosts, delicious rice&curry, close to the beach, next to a really nice juice bar perfect to chill all day long, within walking distance to town.
