Great location, with a surf beach within walking distance. The rooms are extremely well designed, and the suite offers a stunning sea view. The rooftop view is also incredible. The owner, who is Italian, welcomed us very warmly and prepared a delicious, authentic Italian meal using high‑quality ingredients, complete with the perfect atmosphere. Truly unforgettable!

Breakfast every morning was amazing. Bed so comfortable. Clean. Amazing location. Turtles popping their heads out of the water while you sip a beer. Lovely food and staff so relaxed, kind and attentive. Sparta the dog is a joy. They organized mopeds for us and taxi to airport.

Perfect End to Our Sri Lanka Trip – Highly Recommended! After traveling around Sri Lanka for three weeks, we ended our holiday at this villa hotel, and it was truly amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were hospitable, attentive, always smiling, and eager to help with any request. A special shout-out to Leel and Roshan for making our stay extra special! The hotel itself was fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. Lunch and dinner were also excellent, with a variety of well-priced and well-prepared dishes. The seafood platter was a highlight—huge, flavorful, and customizable to our preferences. I highly recommend trying it! The seating area and pool were perfect for relaxing, and the beautiful sandy beach was just a short walk away. One of the most memorable experiences was witnessing three turtles nesting at night and then seeing the government team collect the eggs in the morning. On our final day, we were lucky enough to watch baby turtles being released into the ocean—an unforgettable experience! If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway, this is the perfect place. From start to finish, we felt completely at ease and in holiday mode. We couldn’t find a single fault—highly recommended!

Our stay at LaPolena was amazing. The owners were very nice and helpful. They helped us organize transfer to and from the hotel. Breakfasts were delicious and served on the beach. The view from the room to the ocean was amazing and the beach was only for us. The owner's dad took us snorkeling with turtles, which was one of the best experiences during our stay. I definitely recommend it!

OMG!!!! What a lovely place. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. The staff are the kindest and most thoughtful I ever met. Breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from. The family who owns the place is so nice- they have arranged everything from whale watching tour to tuktuk drive. The location of the hotel is great, rooms are comfortable and clean and have nice jungle view, you can watch monkeys playing on the trees from the balcony. We liked the hotel so much we reserved it also for our second stay in Mirissa.

Overview: Ruwan Jungle Homestay is worth your money. If you're curious about the details, keep reading. Location: The homestay is not too far from the beach, with several great restaurants in the vicinity, like Jungle Soul, 101 Restaurant, and Petti Petti – all of which I recommend. Situated at the forest's edge, the area is rich in wildlife, offering sightings of peacocks, various monkeys, countless birds, and even a monitor lizard. If you enjoy being around animals, this place is for you, though be prepared for some noise. The nearby beach is also great for watching turtles in the morning. The Host: I have to mention Ruwan, the host. He was incredibly helpful, fulfilling our requests without asking for extra payment, although I felt it was right to give him something. Just let Ruwan know what you need, and he'll handle it. Additionally, the food Ruwan prepared for us was incredibly delicious. We had curry shrimp that was simply unforgettable. The Room: Our room was excellent, featuring its kitchen where we occasionally cooked seafood. The facilities, including the internet, were all in good working order. I worked remotely for two weeks, and the internet service met my needs. Just a note: as I did, you might need to ask Ruwan to upgrade the internet service for a fee if you require faster speeds. Conclusion: I wholeheartedly recommend Ruwan Jungle Homestay for anyone looking for a comfortable stay close to nature, with excellent service and unforgettable food.
