After almost two months of traveling in Peru, this may be our favorite place to have stayed. We booked the room with a view over the lake, and it was beautiful to wake up to. We enjoyed all of our meals and were taken great care of. The bed is super comfortable as well!

The whole family was super nice and helpful. They pick you up/drop you at the port, offer their own tours around the Uros and help organise tours to the other islands. Different options for meals (including vegetarian), quite good and at a good price. Hot beverages for free. Plenty of blankets to cope with the cold at night.

I was sick and the whole family was so concerned. Also, as it can get very cold at the lake, the heating pads were greatly appreciated.

Herman and his colleague (I forgot her name) helped us with everything - ordering food, taxi, laundry service and most important - one of the best trips during our stay in Peru, Amantani and Taquille islands. The breakfast was good, they asked if we wanted more bread, jam etc. They have hot water. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, kind and interesting host Pacha, with whom we had great conversations over the meals. Huge lovely rooms, full of indigenous textiles. Huge comfortable beds. Absolutely marvelous whereabouts - the hostel is surrounded by hills and meadows + has a brilliant view on the lake. Very tasty and healthy meals. Lots of common areas, enormous eating hall and nice big shared room to read/work/workout, with a lake view. We absolutely loved our stay there, it was very peaceful, relaxing and warm - we instantly felt at home. Thank you so much!
