One of the Best Hotels in Zanzibar! We had an amazing stay at this hotel for over a month, and it was truly one of the best in terms of quality service. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the room facilities, along with the cleanliness, exceeded our expectations. We had an incredible time. The hotel is in a great location, the staff is amazing and we really enjoyed the food. Anna was super supportive, we had a minor injury while on an excursion and she directed us to a good hospital, helped us get a taxi, etc. I would definetly recommend staying here!

Small, tranquillo, individual, clean, and friendly atmosphere. Waiters knew our names after arrival, the beach is beautiful white sand but tide-dependent. Free Wi-Fi is good, no TVs (which is refreshing). Nice idea to have dinner in different venues – restaurant at the beach, near the kitchen, at the beach on different days. Quality of food is good, prices are very reasonable. Bar with the best view for sundowner. Free paddle boards and one-person kayaks to rent. Mosquito nets over the bed. Nice balconies in each of the only 20 rooms. Clean pool and garden. Family games and books available. One spa therapist available. The rooms are clean, and free drinking water is available throughout the resort.

The pool! The staff were super attentive, shout outs to Secy, Glori, Adam, Said, Saidati, Jafet, Nyanza, Ali, hassan, Aikaeli, merry, zakayo. You all made us feel at home! The food is superb, from breakfast to dinner. They had really cold beers and nice wine too.

Had an amazing time in Matlai! Everything was perfect! Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant had the best dumplings and Bao buns! Our butlers Tito and Jubair were very friendly and always ready to provide us with whatever we needed. The hotel spa was great as well!

The hotel is absolutely stunning. Set in its own private, well kept and lush gardens, it is such a peaceful haven. The beach touching the hotel is beautiful and Clean, and the large infinity pool with amazing views is superb. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Moreover the service of all the team is great, from the managers Hassan and Juma who were always there for our every need, to ask the restaurant, front office and cleaning stuff. Always ready to assist with a smile. I would definitely recommend.
