We had five wonderful nights at Matumani guest house. And we did not want to leave. Such a beautiful house, with a wonderful garden and breathtaking view. In a quiet area away from noisy tourist areas. And most of all Margret took so good care of us. We were served lovely homemade food, and she spoilt the kids with little homemade treats. Margaret organised and helped us with anything we asked for with a smile. We had the barbecue on the beach on our last evening, and it was amazing. The octopus was the best we ever had, and it was such a wonderful experience. We did a snorkelling trip and a sunset cruise organised by Margaret on a beautiful dhowe, both being lovely trips. We will recommend everyone to stay at Matumani. We hope to be back one day.

It is commendable how just within about a month of operations the resort has achieved so much! We were there for about 8 nights. And it was amazingly peaceful. From a lovely beach view, access to the ocean at all hours, friendly staff to the care and attention we got, the stay and our experience was superlative. A special mention to the Chef and his kitchen staff who make 5-star rated food available to every guest for all meals. The presentation to the taste, we used to keep waiting for the day's special everyday. One of the most memorable holidays we have had and definitely going back soon to experience this rendezvous with nature in the best possible setting. Went as strangers, came back missing friends at Zanzibar.

This is my first 10 given on Booking.com, but this vacation definitely deserves it. Vacation means people, location and resort all together. Malgo, Tomek and their full Dream Team is the first key component of the amazing days we spent there: saying that we felt truly at home would for sure not be an overstatement. I believe there is no need to add anything more about this. Location of the resort is excellent: right on the beach, a clean beach by the way (a plus for them, given what we have seen elsewhere). We enjoyed a lot the walks to the reef during low tide, celebrated with final unusual urchins meals: nice swimmings during high tide. Mnemba island, with some of the best snorkeling sites in Zanzibar, is just 30-40 minutes away. Finally, the resort: right size (not more than 20 rooms), nicely organized, simple but elegant architecture, sea view from all rooms, very nice 25 m swimming pool in the center (with separate lane for whoever wants to swim), massage facilities... and more. Our room was very spacious, pleasant, relaxing: and always extremely clean. Ask for Paradise Room if you go there :-) Restaurant is also a plus for this place, with possibility to eat at any time during the day: food was very good, mostly local (as it should be) but also with international cuisine options, great variety which allows to try different foods for the entire week.

The hotel is placed at a chilled, remote part of Matemwe, which was absolutly perfect for kit stay. The rooms are as intimate as the whole beach and the hotel. The service is wonderful, hotel staff is lovely and the food is tasty. Everything is clean and comfy:)
