Charming is the word that springs to mind when you first see Auberge Au Soleil. Arriving early, we were welcomed by pleasant staff in the restaurant on the first floor who explained when our room would be ready and gave us some ideas for how to enjoy our time in the interim. It’s a very easy walk from the auberge to the public area at the lakefront, as well as to the Magazin (a nice little general store with great baked goods), and various historic spots. There is no shortage of scenic photo ops close by! On a clear night, be sure to visit the little nearby park where you can look up at the stars from benches intentionally built with reclined backs to make stargazing more comfortable.

The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the appliances new. The unit gets a lot of sunlight from three sides, and from the high ceiling. The bedrooms were dark and quiet - perfect for sleeping soundly. We will definitely return.

The view of the lake from the porch was absolutely breathtaking--perfect for morning coffee and evening sunsets. The Boho design of the cottage made it feel cozy and inviting, with every little detail thoughtfully chosen. We didn't use the bunkhouse, but I could see it being a hit with kids or adults wanting to enjoy, and the house provides a lot of games for different activities during your stay. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of skiing at Mt.Orford. The full kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. It truly felt like a home away from home. we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, and we can't wait to come back next year around the holidays!
