We arrived in Pizzo on the last (or second-to-last) day of our trip through Calabria, so unfortunately we only stayed for one night. I say unfortunately because, first of all, Pizzo is a truly charming town and worth staying longer, and secondly because the hotel was genuinely excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our flight home wasn’t until late in the evening, but we were allowed to stay by the pool and in the garden the entire day without any issues. They also arranged transportation to the airport and even let us check out a bit later than usual—all of this despite only staying one night. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and very reasonably priced. They serve drinks and food throughout the day in their lovely garden. The location is close enough to both the town center and the beach. We truly felt welcome and comfortable here.

When we have find out that train service is out of order because of strike, my daughter has spoken to the owner of hotel and in next 30min we were travelling to Reggio di Calabria by renting car (cabrio) for 50 euro a day. We have enjoyed that day so much.
