Located on the shores of Bacalar Lagoon, this hotel offers its guests complimentary American breakfast, private pier area and Wi-Fi access in the common area. We loved our stay at Villas Ecotucan! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the natural surroundings were beautiful. Perfect place to relax and disconnect (even on a very rainy day like the one of our stay). Dinner at the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, it was delish! Canoeing around the Bacalar lagoon was also a top experience; overall highly recommended!

The beach in front of the property is gorgeous. There are hammocks in the water, swings, kayaks, paddle boards, and chairs in front of the water. The rooms are amazing and so comfortable with Netflix, air con, mini fridge, shower with hot water, etc. One of the best parts is being able to use the scooters to go all over town which is included. The property is out of the town but by having the scooters, it makes it easy to go into town. The property is super clean and the workers are very nice. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning and includes a sandwich, fruit, and pastry. It's basic but good. You get one coffee pod to make in your room per day which is good. If you want you can purchase more. Each day they also restock your mini fridge with two beers, two waters and two sodas. They also clean your room daily and the property is kept very clean. This was definitely a splurge for us but if you use all of the amenities it can be worth it.

Beautiful place, excellent staff and, while not all staff members were equally experienced, it was an engaged team. Beautiful rooms, clean and well equipped and decorated. Great pool and location. Highly recommended, take the sailing boat trip with Hugo as your captain.

What a place. We loved everything about it. It’s a little piece of heaven. The staff were all amazing. The daily activities were all fantastic. We only stayed for 3 nights but managed to do 2 yoga session, an afternoon of SUP’ing, a water colouring class, a mezcal tasting and a massage. The highly was definitely the sunrise SUP’ing. It’s a must. Make sure you book a room with a lake view as it’s definitely worth the money!
