Beautiful views, excellent staff and we loved all the natural beauty of the property. Would stay again on my next visit to Omeptepe. The playa mangos bar and restaurant was wonderful and just a short walk away. We ate breakfast at La Sirenita up top on their covered deck and was delicious. Loved our casita, super comfortable and we slept better than ever. Can't wait to go back. I even had to take an online/interactive 3 hour class for continuing education, and the wifi was excellent the entire time. Sat on my deck overlooking Lake Nicaragua and had a fabulous Zoom class.

Lidi co jim bambuchy patří a starají se o ně jsou moc fajn. A taky ovoce na zahradě. Do míchaných drinků se hodili hlavně limetko pomeranče, takže jsem se tam taky pěkně zbambuchoval. Jeden večer.

The most enjoyable part of the house is the beautiful patio by the rock's beach. Our room was quite large, welcoming with a private bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped, you have all the essentials to prepare your meals. Cherry on the top is the owner: Mar is a sweet and really kind local man who loves to give you hints and tips to explore this beautiful island.

Hostal Así es mi Tierra se nachází v destinaci Balgue a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a terasou. Sopka Maderas je 12 km daleko. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Los Cocos provides fairly basic accommodations but what sets them apart is the quality of the staff. Marlon, his family and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!
