Initially, we were planning to stay at their beach location, but decided to give this one a try for two nights, and we are so glad we did. We did not have high expectations going in, but the experience truly exceeded them. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We had read some reviews mentioning that the staff didn’t speak much English, but we could really see how much effort they have put into improving this, they did their absolute best and communication was never a problem. The highlight was definitely the view from our room, it was absolutely breathtaking. Photos just don’t do it justice!

Situated in Nova Estrela in the Principe Island region, Roça Atalaia features a balcony. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 10 km from Zona Ecologica Principe Ecological Zone. Amazing location! The view is the highlight. Principe Island is special and Atalaia helped us experience it in a unique way without the sterile resorts. The hosts are very responsive and will help with any arrangements and questions. You need to be independent, self sufficient and understand that this is an off-the-grid establishment with comfort limitations. Rain-water supply, solar power and difficult 4wd roads are part of the adventure. It has a fridge for cold beer though! I personally think you have to have your own 4wd car and have the skill to drive around the island. Arranging multiple trips to and from Atalaia would be impractical.

Free private parking is available on site. Everything. Friendly staff. Awesome guides - such as the amazing Regino Ingles, and also Wuilber Tavares. Excellent rooms. Great good. Nothing more to ask for. Truly an exceptional experience.

Carlos’s reception and assistance in arranging a motorcycle was amazing. Breakfast was varied every day with fresh fruit, juices, eggs, bacon was a lovely start to every morning. Carlos arranged a beautiful crab appetizer during the football match and we opted for dinner at the property twice which was delicious and filling both nights. Super grateful! obrigada por tudo!

A recently renovated chalet situated in Santo António, Casa de Andréa features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. We found this amazing place on Booking and hesitated at first to book due to the location and incorrect old reviews - yes, it's a little further than most properties: but that just makes it better. I'm so incredible glad we stayed here. The location is beyond anything you can imagine, right on the edge of the national park but you feel in the middle of the forest. We made tapes of the sound because no one would otherwise believe you can hear so much animals! The massive tree in front has something of 'mother tree' in avatar and we spend hours just looking at in and all the live in and around it - its a world on itself - or on the bench in the front garden with a nice view on the ocean. The house looks brand new, is situated on a slope in a plantation garden (cacao, piment, vanilla and banana, fruits) and is recently totally renovated: perfect bed and mattress, rain shower, spotless and hyper clean well furnished rooms, a library, satellite tv (we had the view in front so did never use it), and all very warmly and beautiful decorated: you feel at home the moment you enter the door. It was also nice to have mosquito nets and protection everywhere - although we never saw much insects. It's crazy equipped, even a good working washing machine, charged flashlights, fans, a hammock with incredible view, cooler, all imaginable kitchen things, iron stuff... really all was available. The view on the forest from the big balcony is incredible, we did see all the typical and endemic birds, often the monkeys, flying bats eating the fruit from the mango and bread tree in front, parrots,... unbelievable to have this paradise in front. The beach is as beautiful as banana beach, but totally private and remote and just 10 minutes further on the road, snorkel there, the reef in front and around the rocky corner is crazy, sharks, turtle, manta (coral bleaching like all over but plenty of fish), you can also take a wooden cano and explore...
