Also a perfect place to meet adventurous, nice people. Thomas is a perfect host, focused on the guests comfort and njst a great guy. I can't recommend it enough. Hopefully will be back there in the future.

This recently renovated homestay features a building dating back to 2010, which is 1.7 km from the Lagarto Beach. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Mr Luis was the perfect host. The grounds were beautiful. The place was clean and comfortable. The pool so refreshing and peaceful - perfect for cooling off each night. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Kitchen access was very convenient for preparing meals, along with a nice dining and living room area for relaxing, or socializing with other guests. Luis was always available to address any issues or answer any questions. We were able to keep our bags safely locked at the House while venturing over to Principe for 5 days, then return for another 3 days’ stay at Casa Luis. Luis made our trip to São Tomé seamless, pleasant and memorable.

Very quiet and safe neighbourhood, close to city center and airport. I highly recommend it.

It is located on a very pretty part of the island really close to a very beautiful beach. There are also only 2 cottages so it’a never busy with people. Great place to relax. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I didn't even have to request it. Soon after I sat at a table I was served by an ample sort of food. Local fruits, ham, cheeze, and more. I tried several kinds of brewed tea. For those that love lemon, I suggest to try the Chalela tea :). The location is slightly away from the city center, about 5 minutes from car. This both gave me a calm area for sleep and relaxation, and made it quick to get there whenever I needed, which suited my needs perfectly.

Emoyeni Gardens provides beachfront accommodation in São Tomé. This property also boasts a restaurant and a year-round outdoor pool. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The property has an outdoor patio surrounded by a tropical garden. Probably the most accommodating host I’ve ever met! Alex responds to messages almost instantly and is incredibly helpful—whether it’s arranging airport pickup or recommending a local tour guide, money exchange - she’s got us covered. Our flight was delayed by two days, and she kindly adjusted our check-in dates without any extra charges. The place itself is so cozy—it honestly feels like staying at a grandma’s house (in the best way!). The bed is super comfy with a proper blanket and adorable bedding. Everything was spotless. Rooms are pretty spacious. There’s also an amazing restaurant just a 10-minute walk away called O Pirata—it looks simple, but the food was absolutely incredible. And if you’re in the mood for a bit of fun, there’s an old-fashioned casino just a few minutes away.
