This is an excellent hotel exceeding its rating. A fine example of the best of English hospitality, it sets a high benchmark which other inns and hotels should be aiming at and which in many cases do not. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and the cleaners do a remarkable job, the inn is spotless. The place is very professionally run. It's a credit to the owners.

It’s located in a very sweet little town in the middle of a beautiful countryside. The owner is absolutely marvelous and he makes you fresh breakfast at a time of your choice and a coffee was excellent. We were given advice regarding our trip and the company was lovely and the place itself was cozy and nice

It was a fantastic breakfast. A special mention for the bacon and the sausages we were given. Absolutely delicious. We, and the other guests, were seated at a communal, large dining table (with a beautiful garden backdrop) This gave us the bonus of a good natter over breakfast with the other people staying at the house. Everyone agreed that the house, food, gardens, service and hospitality was superb. The bedroom was great. Really comfortable bed. Great en-suite (with a powerful, hot shower) the room was large and well lit. Great views over the garden and a good peaceful night was enjoyed. Can’t speak too highly of the guest house. My wife and I would recommend it to anybody planning a stay in Melton Mowbray or, as in our case, looking for a place to stay en-route to somewhere else. My profile, however seems to indicate that I’m from the USA…. I’m not, I’m British. I’ll try and get that amended.

First Class extras and somebody on hand with a huge smile and predisposition to solve everything, great feeling to open your bedroom door and be able to jump into the outdoor heated pool and sit on the sunloungers with sun umbrellas and read. We were just blown away by the Studio, Katie had thought of everything you could need for a perfect getaway experience, and she was so helpful. The bed was the most comfortable we've found anywhere in our travels - we even found two hot water bottles, just in case (not needed). The breakfast provided was just right for us. Our dog, Grace, was in her element, loads of walkies and places to explore. Just wonderful!!

I received a warm welcome when I arrived and had parking reserved for me on the drive. The hosts has thought of everything I might need for my stay including fresh milk and things for breakfast. The space was clean and well-presented. It was the perfect base from which I could visit friends who live locally and I’ll definitely be back again.
