Our stay here was one of the most memorable parts of our time in Sri Lanka. Right in front of the beach, this beautiful lodge was more than just a place to stay—it was a home, filled with warmth, good energy, and unforgettable people. From day one, Che Che and his amazing team made us feel like family. Always smiling, always ready with the best local recommendations, and so genuinely passionate about sharing the story of how he created the lodge—it was inspiring to hear and made our experience even more meaningful. Every detail, from the welcoming atmosphere to the peaceful beachside setting, was just perfect. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return. The locality is pure perfection! One minute to the beach and you can see the Coconut hill from the room. Nearby (minute by walk) is a spa centrum where you can be treated by massage. The owners were nice :) we did a yoga session with a Slovak lady who blessed our day and we are co grateful we met her, See you soon!

Absolutely everything. The room was big, comfy and with very few mosquitoes (and there’s a mosquito net). The fan is working perfectly and there’s hot water in the shower. The wifi is fast and ideal to do a bit of work. There’s a kitchen which is cleaned every morning (and it’s good cause some guests have 0 clue how to live in a community..) It’s away from the main road so super quiet at night, and the host is very nice and accommodating. It’s very close to some restaurants and shops and 8 min from the main road.

During our stay at coastal villa we were welcomed by Vipulle and guided to our room. The room is beautiful, has all the necessities and it’s in a very quiet and remote place. But what stood out the most to us was the hospitality of Vipulle, he went out and beyond to make our stay magical and wholesome. My boyfriend and I do believe that he made our experience more beautiful at coastal then it already was. Thank you Vipulle and coastal villa for having us.

The stay was very clean and Kumudhu was amazing. We had a great breakfast as well. Would definitely recommend if someone is looking for a stay near Coconut Tree Hill. They arranged reasonable Tuk tuks as well for visiting nearby places.

I really recommend this place! Owners are very friendly and helpfull. You can make here laundry, rent a bike or tuk tuk. Rooms are clean, served here local food is tasty. The best place in Mirissa!

The family of owner were so kind and helpful. They always smiled to me. I felt like I became a member of this family. The room is clean and simple. The villa is located in front of river. So the view was nice. You can have a breakfast on floating restaurant. I could get the information for various activities. (surfing, yoga, cooking class..etc) Specially, the owner took care of me a lot. I was so thankful for him. :) I will stay in here again on next visit.
