Everything was perfect. We had a spacious and cozy room with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and very extensive. Moreover, the staff was so great. We felt super welcome there and they took great care of us. We stayed 4 nights and we were the only ones most of the time, which is why we got a better room for a cheaper price. The city centre is a 20min walk away while there are also other restaurants and a supermarket only 10min walk away. We would recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Extremely lovely and accomodating hosts. Comfortable beds with clean linen, towels. Soaps provided. Kitchen available for making tea (tea, coffee available), salad. Guests should carry milk if needed. The host made us bed tea early in the morning and a scrumptious veg delicious breakfast. Would love to stay again..

If it were possible I would rate this hotel 11! Very nicely decorated, extremely clean, with everything you need. Staff exceptionally cordial and helpful, they provided advice and fulfilled every wish. Delicious breakfast! I definitely recommend it!

What an amazing place is this. The moment we arrived we said to eachother that we want to stay longer. You have an amazing view on the tea plantation, and a valley. Also at 6 am and pm a big group of birds fly from the Gregory lake to a place behind the homestay, amazing to watch. When this has not make you curious, then the kind family will do. They helped us with everything and even let us taste different fruits from their own garden. We stayed for dinner and everyday was a different varieties of dishes and flavours. Long story short: Highly recommended! Thank you so much Manoj and family!

We enjoyed our stay of 2 nights here - waking up to amazing views, facilities all working and clean, very tasty food which the mother of the family cooks. Help with arranging tuktuk tour and tuktuk from Nanu Oya upon request. (10 minute walk to the center but the center isn't the place you want to stay as you miss the views and it's lively/noisy.)

Can't praise the Wickramasighne family and homestay enough. It has a beautiful spaceous room with a really comfortable big bed. It's located on the hill with nice views overlooking the town, and surrounded by green. A lot of birds, squirrels and sometimes monkeys in the trees outside our bedroom. Such a warm and kind-hearted family. They treat you as one of theirs. Eventhough my partner and I got really sick when arriving in Nuwara Eliya, we made a speedy recovery because of the good care we got. Madam Subodini was like a mother to us, coming with us to the doctors daily to make sure we were well helped and checking on us multiple times a day. Her father drove us to the doctors and back and made sure we had our fresh fruits from the market. Her mother cooked us healthy dinners and breakfasts to recover quickly. Without the Wickramasighne family our memories of Nuwara Eliya would have been unpleasent.  Now because of them, we fondly look back on our time in Nuwara Eliya.

I booked Lasanna Villa based on the reviews and ratings while travelling, as I was looking for a decent place to stay in Nuwara Eliya during my field visit to Horton Plains. My criteria for accommodation are simple: it should be affordable, offer a clean room and bathroom, and provide good food, as I don't spend much time in the room. Lasanna Villa exceeded my expectations in every regard. Firstly, my host, Kalum, was wonderful. He contacted me via text after I made the reservation and kindly offered to pick me up from the railway station. Upon my arrival, he greeted me with tea and cookies, engaging in a friendly chat to learn more about me and understand my needs for the stay and my travel plans. Although I had originally booked the room for just one day, Kalum spoke with the next guest who had reserved the room and arranged for me to stay a few extra hours. He also provided helpful advice on the best places to visit during my limited time in the area, as well as recommended restaurants for a good meal. Kalum even arranged a tuk-tuk to take me to Horton Plains early the next morning, packed a delicious breakfast, and ensured I had everything I needed for my field visit. His friend and my driver, Tharindu, was fantastic. He accompanied me throughout my trek in Horton Plains and was invaluable as I documented the local fauna and flora. Tharindu quickly became a good friend, and he managed to show me several notable sites in the area, including Galway's Land National Park, despite my short stay. He seemed to know many people in the town and was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. To top it off, it was my birthday, and what made the day even more unforgettable was the surprise I received when I returned to my room after a long day. Kalum, Tharindu, and their friends had arranged a small cake, which they had ordered from a well-known hotel. Their thoughtful gesture made sure my birthday and stay were truly memorable.
