Our favourite accommodation so far after 5 months in Asia! Beautiful location with stunning views from the balcony and not too far from town. Amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay, they helped us with rides into town, cooked delicious food, and even made us a packed lunch for our onward travels. Super comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed an extra night because we loved it so much. A great experience overall, definitely recommend.

The owners Saman and Sandive were very welcoming. They made sure that everything in the room was ready before our arrival. Both are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was just amazing, spotless clean, you can definitely sense the attention to every detail. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees all around. The view is spectacular, you can see the waterfall and hear the sound of running water from distance when lying in your bed, just a wonderful scene to wake up to. Saman prepared a delicious breakfast and delivered it to the room by herself just to make sure that we do not need anything else. This was by far one of the best places we have been to in Ella. We would definitely book that place again on every trip back to Ella. We highly recommend this place.

All is incredible, the location, the very friendly owner, and the amazing breakfast!!! We only spent one day in Ella but was really a wonderfull experience.Also the place is brand new and very comfortable. Only 5 minutes from the center.

Winwood Ella is an absolute gem! The location is fantastic — close enough to explore everything in town, yet tucked away just enough to enjoy peace and quiet. One of the highlights for me was sitting on the balcony and watching animals casually wander past — such a unique and calming experience. It truly felt like being in harmony with nature. Very clean place, very clean bed (cleanest bed we had so far in Sri Lanka), beautiful view and balcony in front of every room. Bathroom with very hot water and window. Super nice host. Breakfast very tasty and variable. Located a bit on the hill, walk about 5-10 minutes to the centre, restaurants nearby, but also nature. Perfect location.
