We had a most amazing stay here - the cloister is easy to reach by foot, there are many nice routes for hiking, the garden (with hammocks and hanging chairs) is beautiful, and offers so many seating spaces, and the breakfast as well as the dinner were really tasty! The host was very nice (we had to rely a bit on Google translate which worked very well) and we really liked the room. The village is small (no atm!) but has three small supermarkets/mini markets that offer coffee and ice cream, and many wells for fresh drinking water.

I am really glad I came to stay here. It really makes sense to stay the night in Butuceni and enjoy a relaxed evening here. Vila Etnica has a great bar, is directly opposite a path to the monastery and has a wonderful restaurant with the best food I had in Moldova so far. It was lovely to be able to have dinner outside on a late summer afternoon, watch the late fading over the hills on my balcony, and wake up to birdsong for breakfast. The staff are great and really helped me with my transport questions.

Hosts, home and location was great! Easy access to Orhei and the surrounding nature. Come here if you want a break from the noisy city! Hosts also spoke great english, so foreigners like myself should not fear choosing this location.

The hosts were extremely nice and interesting people with very rich life experiences and good knowledge of moldavian history and politics. We really deeply appreciated an evening in their company. They were also so nice to take us to the Krikova cellars and than waited for us with a delicious dinner at home. But, above all, it was really nice to meet them and talk to them.
