Waking up to panoramic views of the mountains and the sound of flowing water was the kind of peaceful moment I didn’t know I needed. What stood out most, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly welcoming — not just polite, but genuinely kind. They were always ready with a cup of chai, local stories, or travel tips that made exploring Skardu even more meaningful. The food? Deliciously homemade! Every meal felt personal — from freshly cooked parathas at breakfast to traditional Balti dishes for dinner. The best part was the villa’s location — close enough to explore famous spots like Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake, and Shigar Fort, yet secluded enough to feel like your own private hideaway in the mountains. I want to thank Danish for being a very kind and excellent host. With the price I paid, the servcies were exceptional, specially the fresh breakfast. It is located not far from the center and within local villages.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and loved my room, it was pleasant, spacious and clean. Location of the hotel is very good, not far from Skardu airport. Staff are very friendly. Ameer and his family made me feel at home. They were always very kind and helpful, they would go out of their way to help. Whenever I required transport Ameer would help, advise and arrange. I was picked from and dropped off to Skardu airport. The breakfast was served whenever I asked and was delicious.

The best garden at a hotel I’ve stayed at in South Asia (including fruit trees). Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is great. Good value. They actually have hot water that works. Most importantly though, the family running it is incredibly friendly and helpful and go the extra mile. Even the wifi is decent.

The hotel has so clean room and private bathroom. Also it is located on the center of Skardu and could feel a daily life of Skardu people. More over the manager, named Arslan, was really kind and can fanatically speak English well. Although I visited Skardu for the first time, I could enjoy historical places without any problem. I recommend this hotel!!!! Also, if I visit the city again, I will select this hotel again!!!

A Home Away from Home in the Heart of Nature Our stay at Mountain Face Guest House was simply amazing. The hospitality of Mr. Sana Ullah and his son Haseeb made us feel right at home. They were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout our stay. We even cooked our own meals, and Haseeb was always there to assist us — just like a family member. The environment was warm and friendly, with breathtaking views all around. The guest house is beautifully nestled among mountains and greenery, offering a peaceful retreat away from the city rush. One of the best parts is that Manthal Buddha Rock is just a 15-minute walk from the guest house — a perfect short hike to an amazing historical site. Also, the breakfast was amazing! Make sure to try the local breakfast — it’s fresh, delicious, and a great way to start your day. Would definitely love to come back again and again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Skardu!
