Dar Hamouda is a charming historical dar in the best and liveliest part of the Medina of Tunis. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom modern. The hosts (Mrs. Amel and her husband) were wonderful and very helpful. We particularly liked the joint breakfast where you could meet and talk to other guests at the dar. This is always a good opportunity to exchange experiences and meet people when travelling.

This place exceeded by far our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we felt like we went back in time. This boutique hotel is decorated with very very good taste, with antiques and lovely traditional items. The place is quiet, even though it is located in the medina, very close to the big mosque. The room, although not very large, was decorated in the same manner, creating a sense of peacefulness. We were welcomed by Ahmed, who was very friendly and helpful. When we return to Tunis, we will definitely stay in El Patio!

La Chambre bleue is in the perfect location if you want to visit Tunis and the medina. Marouane is a wonderful host who created the most beautiful place by restoring a part of an old palace. This house has so much charme and character that we cannot wait to visit again. Also, make sure to not miss out on Sonja's homemade breakfast- you will not find a better one!

First of all, Madam is so kind.The location is great. You can reach many famous and historical places by walk. You can also reach place de Barcelona metro station which connects to Tunis Marine Train( to go Sidi bousaid) by walk. The rooms of hotel is very traditional,cosy and clean.The breakfast is sufficient and includes some traditional food and hand-made jams. WiFi is good. The roof is great to have breakfast and you can have a look the old Medina city and take incredible photos. We were a family and felt comfortable. There were international guests.

Dar Ya is located in Tunis. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with an internal patio and a terrace. Bathrooms and showers are shared.

Nice location, there are a few small shops near the hostel selling water and sandwiches, wraps ect. The jam and cream cheese and halwa sandwich just down the street was amazing, as were some wraps from a nice lady, and oaja from a store with bowls out front. Fun place to stay and explore the Medina. 35 minute walk down through the Medina to Bab al Bahr and down the main ave to the bus and train terminal Tunis Bahria. 1 dinar for a train of bus to Sidi Bou Saed or La Marsa. Great way to spend the day. Nice staff here and very friendly. Breakfast is very nice, as is the roof patio. Just outside the Medina there there is a bit busier street with fast food restaurants open until later. Above the medina the Qasr al Baladia is a nice place to watch the sun go down

A good location for a relaxing stay in Tunis, Dar Zakia is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the inner courtyard.

The property is very close to the Medina and even during the night, it’s very safe to come back home. Moreover, the rooms are very big and the hosts do whatever is in their power to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They were always interested in how our stay was and provided as with water and coffee without asking. I rarely felt so welcomed to an accommodation before!

Samia was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The place was spotless – honestly, the cleanest accommodation I’ve ever been to. She also goes above and beyond by offering extra services, such as driving you around the city and giving great advice on places to visit. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are two toilets, one with a bathroom. The location is also very convenient, just about 5 kilometers from the airport.

Small boutique hotel, cosy and comfortable. Nice interior, traditional style. Little rooftop to enjoy a little breeze or sunshine. Staff is super attentive and helpful. Location is also great, small cafes nearby, short walk to the beach area with lots of restaurants.
