The manager, Denusha, helped us organize our trip with a safari, taxi from the airport and to Dambulla, fun converstations and even dropped us off at our bus stop. The location was peaceful and we really enjoyed the swimming pool. It was close enough that we could walk to the lion rock and the Piderangela hike also.

Walking distance to Sigiriya Rock which was also huge bonus. Delicious meals prepared by Suman and his family. Suman went above and beyond to help us with our stay, we couldn’t recommend him enough!

In the mornings you wake up surrounded by nature, with the songs of birds all around. The family is a lovely couple with two adorable little daughters who brought us fresh flowers from the garden every day. The husband and wife are warm, simple, and genuine – something rare to find nowadays. Staying with them reminded us how happiness really comes from enjoying the little things. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Some units in the guest house have private entrance and are fitted with desk and wardrobe. A balcony with mountain view, a satellite flat-screen TV and air conditioning are offered in some units. At the guest house, units are fitted with a private bathroom. The staff was amazing. Always available to make our stay better. They arrange tuk tuk, safari and transport to our next destination. We met the owner, lovely and so attentive. The cabin was very cute and clean. We had a terrace with couple of chairs to chill. Also have hammocks. On top of the cabin there is the tree house where the staff organised breakfast for us. The tree house has increíble views. Peaceful place. Full of trees, cero noise except for the birds. We spent hours and hours just chilling and relaxing. Everything was so easy. This was really the highlight of our trip, nothing have been as good as this place. The staff are there to really make your life easier so you just spend the time enjoying. A heavenly tropical escape. Thank you so much. We will miss this place.

Situated in Sigiriya, 1.6 km from Sigiriya Rock and 3.7 km from Pidurangala Rock, Sashini Homestay offers a garden and air conditioning. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The Forgotten Temple Kaludiya Pokuna is 13 km away and Habarana Lake is 14 km from the bed and breakfast. We enjoyed our 1 night stay here! Chaminda and his family were friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The room was of a good size for the two of us, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure and hot water were acceptable. It was walking distance to Lion Rock and I also liked that Chaminda shared about the other tours or rides that he can offer (he has a tuktuk) without being pushy, and he gave us complimentary rides a couple of times too. They also provided us with a superb breakfast which included some traditional Sri Lankan food. Do note that they have a dog (which was chained) and a kitten. There were a few mosquitoes and flies in the room (quite typical in Sri Lanka) but after awhile, they were gone (might have been due to the electric pest repellent). And they didn’t bother us at all. There’s also a mosquito net that can be used to cover the bed but we didn’t have to use that. We would stay here again!

In a corner of the orchard, there is a beautiful botanical garden, which was designed by the owner himself. We stayed in this botanical garden. You can imagine how beautiful it is! In addition, the hotel owner has a very polite son and a naughty and lovely daughter. We felt very happy playing with them.

I stayed in the cottage for just one night, but I really liked the place itself, the people who welcomed me, and the room I stayed in. I arrived very late, past the check-in time, but they accommodated me without any issues. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and in the morning, I saw an iguana, a squirrel, a rabbit, and even a peacock right in front of my door. The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and satisfying. It’s a wonderful place - I just wish I had more time to stay there!

The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!
