This was a fantastic experience! The boat looks amazing, the rooms are very comfortable and cosy. The whole crew was very helpful and even though we were all in the same boat, we were given a lot of privacy. The food was absolutely amazing, the cook did a very good job! And the views... Jose was a good host who kept in touch after our booking and took down our food preferences. During the stay, our cruise pilot Siraj and Nawaz(chief) took very good care of us and also explained to us about the village and the festivities that happen there. Boat is kept very clean. We oved lazying on the boat n reading our books as we cruised along. I would recommend Kalappura houseboats to anyone who is travelling to alleppey. Just send Jose ur preferences with regards to food or accomodation and he will make arrangements accordingly.

This is must try in kerala, me and my husband spent two overnight trip with Tharas Houseboat, it was an unforgettable experience , especially inside of the houseboat was awesome, food was amazing they offering a wide variety for those who preferred something more international, the crew members very friendly and had excellent communication.Unforgettable highly recommend this experience with THARAS HOUSEBOAT.

From Malaysia-4 of us stayed on this Private luxury Houseboat and it was the best decision I had made to select Why not.Had a chat with Mr Vineeth whom replied for all quiries promptly. It was perfect all the way from check in on 24th Feb 11am and checkout the next day 9am. The boat looks very beautiful, well maintained and spotless with good amenities, food was top notch, stopped at a local market to select fish for kari meen pollichatu. The comfort level of this Houseboat is "Home". WiFi available all the time,we opted for A/C at night only,don't miss your mosquito repellent or you will regret! There was 3 guys on board, the captain, the chef and the Helper- they r friendly and minding their business. We covered Punamada, Kutanad and Venbanad lake,also had a canoe arranged by the Caption(addition charge) to experience the small canals on the backwaters once the boat was parked and it was so beautiful to witness the sunset this way. Got the opportunity to try Toddy from village matched with kappayum meenum while canoeing(we request to try) n it never failed to tantalized our taste buds.
