Holiday Rentals in Becerreá

A really special place to stay. We wanted somewhere cosy to feel Christmasy in December and this was perfect. Christmas movies infront of a log fire with access to beautiful mountains. Hosts are wonderful and really helped for making it a special weekend away.

Although the location was 3.8 km from the Camino route it was one of the best stays we had on our Camino. Teresa offered to pick us up in Triacastela but I was cycling and Anne was walking. We arrived earlier than anticipated and hiked to the property which is situated on farm land in the teeniest of villages 10 houses only). The building has been converted from an old farm house to a modern, tastefully renovated home. The property had all amenities, is private and quiet and set in the loveliest of rural farm land with views over the mountains in the distance and the farms close by. Teresa offered to take us to Triacastela to have dinner there and pick us up again but also gave us an option to buy local cheeses, iberico ham and wine from the region at cost. She supplied fresh bread, butter, jam, coffee, teas and hot chocolate as well as yoghurt, milk and other offerings. We opted for a feast at home and were happy to enjoy the peace and quiet. It really was a tranquil escape from the steadily increasing hustle and bustle of the Camino and allowed us to relax, meditate and be one with nature. To be honest, I so enjoyed this stay I want to go back for a longer period. Teresa helped us get our backpacks from Triacastela which we forwarded on Jacotrans, but which was left in a bar in Triacastela because Jacotrans does not veer of the “Way”, the Standard Camino route. She also helped to arrange transport for the backs on our departure date and dropped Anne and the bags off in Triacastela while I cycled the short distance. As a final farewell Teresa gave Anne a quick guided tour of Triacastela in her car and then sent us off with her best wishes for the rest of the Camino.

It was an amazing experience! We lived like in a dream in a big amazingly beautiful chalet with all necessary things!) We were hosted by Fernando. He was our saviour in all means. If you look for a quiet perfect getaway and amazing rest during Camino de Compostella this is place to be!

It was so nice everything. And the owners were so friendly and they made such good food. One of the best places for me on the Camino. Can highly recommend.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They tried to meet our every need. When it started to rain on our clothes hanging on the clothes line, they strung a rope on the covered porch for us to use. Dinner was delicious and they offered extras - homemade soup and a yummy dessert.

Our host was so kind. We survived a huge storm and we were soaking wet when we arrived at the hostel. He greeted us, took all our clothes and washed and dried them and gave us slippers. He dried our wet shoes for us. The heat was on in our room. It was a wonderful place to stay. It's right on the Camino route too.

this is a gem , beautifully designed and furnished . Above the launderette and in the camino . Fabulously comfortable ... quiet . Great nights sleep

On the Camino. Very spacious room, huge bathroom with excellent shower and toiletries. a very comfortable stay. it is situated at the end of the town, right near the Camino waymarks for Samos or San Xil.

The house is nicely renovated and rooms are cozy, just perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and go above and beyond to help. Breakfast is great. 10/10
