I had a great stay in the small town of Annot. Unfortunately I only was able to communicate with the owner in written (text messages) but everything went extremely good. I got the door code and found the room key easily. The rooms is lovely and you see that the owner cares about how everyhting looks like. For that price the room was also very big and the couch was perfect for the rainy afternoon that I had after the hike to the big sandstones (Gres d'Annot). There is not much to do in the town and the restaurant options are limited but it is definitely worth to stay for one or two nights and do the hike. The house is on the main road through the town but it was still not loud.

Absolutely perfect! The house is spacious and welcoming in every small detail (we particularly appreciated the collection of books and comics to read). The beds and the sofa are comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, and the living room super cozy. The surroundings are peaceful and there are nice hikes around the village.

This campsite is set on the river bank, located in the village of Castellane, within a 5-minute drive of the Verdon Gorge.

I really liked the stay at Maison Castellane, the owners were both friendly and helpful and I appreciated that greatly. The cleanliness was exceptional, it was the best I've experienced in any short term rental in France and I loved it. Very quiet, calm and nice place and would love to stay there again. Highly recommend!
