The rooms are spacious and clean, same as the bathroom. There are multiple rooms to share one kitchen and a lounge, so it would definitely be suited for bigger groups planning to stay for a few days. The breakfast provided was a rich continental breakfast in a well stocked selfcatering kitchen (for all the coffee lovers out there: there's a nespresso machine and even a Bialetti <3). The host was very helpful (even with technical and ferry related problems) and we had nice chats. The arrival was a bit unusual due to letting ourselves in and finding our rooms, but nothing I would complain about.

Superb location. The Boat House has a garden down to the Loch and is close to the local shop and petrol station. The Lochmaddy Hotel (very good food) is less than a 5 minute walk as is the excellent Arts Centre with its shop and great cafe.

The Fisherman's Snug self catering North Uist is set in Paible and offers a garden. The property has lake and garden views.

The Wheelhouse is an amazing place. It’s quite remote, but it’s also close to any location on the island(s). Best thing: I think I never saw a brighter sky.
