self catering. The location was quiet, peaceful, with lovely open countryside views from all windows. If the weather had been kind we would have enjoyed miles of lovely countryside walks, but sadly it rained. A lot. That said it was well placed for visits to Sherborne (for the castle) and Yeovil, for shopping etc. , and a thirty-five minute drive to Weymouth. Other close coastal locations were easily accessible from there.

This apartment felt like a natural home away from home. I was so impressed with the level of comfort and attention to detail, combined with a relaxing atmosphere. The apartment was beautiful, with clean and comfortable rooms. It was even better than expected. The price was terrific. The owner is fantastic. Helpful and always available. I really appreciated the friendly attitude. Our stay was perfect!

    The breakfasts offered were great - more on offer than I could want, including vegetarian options. Flexible and friendly owner - checked if things ok. Asked for feedback or if anything else needed. Good amount of interaction at breakfast, checking I had all I wanted alongside giving me space to enjoy quietly. Some helpful suggestions for getting to the village via a "back route" if didn't want to walk along the road without a pavement.

    A lovely cosy and comfortable little cottage set in a quiet and pretty courtyard. It's in a small village just a very short drive from Sherborne and is a good location for visiting other interesting parts of Dorset and Somerset. Very friendly welcome from the owner who had provided a good DIY breakfast. Nicely decorated , lovely big soft bath sheets for the shower.
