We had a wonderful stay at Mama’s, the place is still partly under renovation but the room, the bathrooms and the common area are already so comfortable and lovely, very clean and well decorated. Breakfast is also delicious! Many many thanks to Faldi and Nina for their hospitality and their kindness. We had a one day tour around Ruteng with Faldi and got to see beautiful landscapes! We also got the chance to learn more about Maggarai culture and meet with Faldi’s family.

This is thé Flores home experience! Very friendly, inviting and welcoming family. Irwan helps out planning your stay and can arrange everything for you. Ernesta is a great cook and dancer, and their 2 kids are a joy! We visited the “hobbit cave”, the Ramenese lake and did the flyingfox zipline and the traditional market at Ruteng. And to top it all off we where invited to a local wedding party 🥳!! How special is that! We loved staying with this beautiful family.

Stayed a night after a rainy ride from Labuan Bajo. Really lovely hosts, amazing location not to far from the Hobbit Cave and right in the beautiful rice fields. Food is also great, loved it.

We had a fantastic experience at this Homestay! The family was incredibly sweet and hospitable, and it was a pleasure to gain insight into how they lived. In the morning, we were greeted with a nice breakfast, which was a perfect start to the day. The family was very open and positive, and it was clear that they genuinely enjoyed sharing their home with guests. I wish we could have stayed there for several more days. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and heartfelt experience!
