From arrival to departure, we were so well taken care of by the most hospitable Patricia. The whole place inside and out exudes a whimsical old world charm that felt special to be part of for the weekend. The interiors are a masterclass in colour, good taste, and creating inspiring and cosy environments. The breakfasts were a delicious feast of lovingly prepared, wholesome foods in the beautiful dining room of Cullintra House. No detail was overlooked, and our hostess was like no other we've ever experienced. This is service and hospitality on another level. Make sure to explore the 4000 year old Cairn up the mountainside, and enjoy as much of this spectacular place you can while you're there. 5 stars all round, and we will definitely be returning next year.

We celebrated New 2024 Years here and it was just we needed and wanted - a peaceful, beautiful, clean and lovingly maintained Irish house with comfortable living room, cozy bedroom and great bathroom. We felt like we were visiting an Irish aunt who made everything to make us feel at home. And it was amazing start to the year for us, Ukrainian refugees - great thanks to Chris and Pauline for these feelings and support of Ukrainians (and sorry if our English isn't good enough...)). Our host Michael was conducting renovations but kept a ground floor room available for us due to our early booking. The property is wonderfully historic and backs onto the River Nore, with on site parking and our double room was very comfortable. Michael provided us with a cooked breakfast each morning in the picturesque upstairs breakfast nook. My wife alternated between the salmon omelette and muesli with yoghurt while I plumped for the full Irish breakfast each morning. Delicious! This was also a great base for visiting nearby sites such as Kilkenny, Waterford and New Ross.
