The host were very warm and welcoming at all times. They proactively thought about our requirements upfront and helped us get the booking for boat and also help guide on how to get around the place. Perfect place to escape busy and crowded city and enjoy quiet village atmosphere. Paradise for birdwatchers. Breakfast was good, and there are two restaurants nearby. I would recommend the nearest one (Lake N Cruise). The food is simple and cheap, and it's a perfect spot to enjoy magic sunsets at 6 pm. It is also easy to reach Kumarakom center and bird sanctuary (tuk-tuk 150 rupees one way). Early morning backwater boat ride for three hours though small canals was something special. And many thanks for sincere hospitality to the hosts, who were super friendly and helpful. Overall 10+!

It was clean, well furnished and equipped, it lay right by the waters edge, at a point where most tourists on the big house boats go in one direction but they’re smaller boats were able to go in the other, down the smaller and I. My opinion much more beautiful canals.

You need some form of transportation to get around. Other than that the owners are super friendly, you can order food. The garden is super nice and the whole backwaters area is really pretty. I recommend checking out the bird sanctuary very early in the morning. He also offer to use the boat for 1000rupees/hr

    Fabulous stay. Divya, her family, and staff are welcoming and foster a home-like environment. We had engaging conversations and shared stories. The rooms are clean and well-kept. The homestay is located near a quiet rural road that runs alongside a canal and passes through villages and rice fields. We took a pleasant 3-hour walk from the homestay to the main lake, along the canal, where we saw different birds and interacted with villagers.

    It’s location! A short 300m stroll through the local village to the market area via the back gate gave a great insight to life away from the cities. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. We can recommend the local Toddy Shop for a meal. 800 metres away, turn left at gate then right at junction.

    Cruising on the Grand Villa houseboat for two nights was a wonderfully unforgettable experience. The staff were top notch, and the chef was 5 star. He would be at home working in any Michelin Star restaurant. The ride on the waters was very smooth and serene. I'm already looking at dates to book again.
