If you’re ever planning a trip to Srinagar, John’s Home Stay is an absolute gem that I highly recommend for families. Our stay there was nothing short of amazing, and much of the credit goes to the incredible hospitality of John Uncle and his son, Ali. From the moment we arrived, John Uncle’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Ali, his son, is equally amazing. He’s also an expert when it comes to planning tours across Jammu & Kashmir. He took the time to help us craft an itinerary that balanced famous spots with hidden gems, ensuring we could experience the true essence of the region on our next trip and the current one was on a no plan basis. He also provides a bike rental service (a great way to explore Srinagar and beyond!). Their genuine care and effort in making our trip memorable stood out throughout. From thoughtful recommendations on must-visit places to helping us with logistics, they truly made us feel like family. You could choose what you wanted for breakfast, and it was always homemade and delicious. We also had the option to order lunch and dinner, which were just as tasty and thoughtfully prepared. The hotel is located close to Zero Bridge. The area, like the rest of the city, is quite busy with traffic. The hotel owner, Mr. Ilham Husain Bhat, and his family took care of us in the kindest way—helping with sightseeing tips, arranging reliable taxis, and always being there when we needed anything. Mr. Bhat is a truly warm and helpful person, and his whole family made us feel like part of theirs. Staying at Hotel Ikraam Inn was a special experience for us, and we warmly recommend it to anyone visiting Srinagar.

I am a solo woman traveler, and I would totally recommend this to other travelers! The location of the property is amazing, you could easily get to the main spots like Lal chowk or Dal lake by auto (5 minutes) or a walk (20-25 minutes). The room was cozy and comfortable with an electric blanket. There are restaurants (vegetarian too) around at a walkable distance. The homestay owner Faraz bhai is an extremely humble person, and he also helped me plan my onward travel, helping with cabs and stay bookings at other places. The home made kehwa is delicious, and overall the experience of staying in a traditional Kashmiri house was beautiful!

Had a fabulous time in Kashmir and our stay at the Lake Victoria Houseboat was the highlight of our trip. It is a beautiful and well kept houseboat, the rooms are spacious, beautiful architecture. I recently stayed at the Holiday Home and it exceeded my expectations. The moment we entered we were impressed by the interiors of the property. The property was not less than a 4 star hotel. The warmth we received by the host felt like family. The home cooked food was incredibly delicious. We would highly recommend Holiday Home!

The villa is jst like a woow..The rooms are spacious and the amenities are many.What most surprised me was the attention to detail .Unbeatable services . I originally booked this houseboat for 2D3N, but it was so wonderful that I had to extend my stay. The houseboat was lovely, clean, spacious, reasonably priced, and exquisitely furnished. Nazeer Bhai, the host, was incredibly kind, accommodating, and welcoming. He arranged for a trek to a lovely village, and we walked along a serene river. It was heavenly.
