The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you might need during your stay. This house is full of stories. After our arrival, the house's keeper quickly helped us become familiar with the place and was very warm-hearted. The house itself is very comfortable in terms of amenities and the overall living experience. But what exceeded my expectations was that the house itself serves as a fantastic experiential story space. There's a comprehensive booklet that introduces the history of the house and the fascinating stories that took place within it, and the entire space is filled with details corresponding to those narrated in the booklet, waiting to be explored. At the same time, these details did not detract from our living experience. On the contrary, the accommodation experience in this professionally designed space is outstanding. If we come again next time, we will choose this place.

Room was super comfortable, had a tiny kettle and a fridge which were very convenient if you wanted to keep food for the next day or boil water for your tea. Also I had to work remote and the wi-fi was strong enough.

A very unique and highly recommended experience if you wish to spend some time in the Japanese countryside, surrounded by beautiful nature. The stay at the temple hotel for me was also a one of a kind spiritual and cultural experience. Multiple beautiful surrounding towns are easily reachable by bike. Access is much easier if you have your own vehicle but not impossible with public transport. The nearest station is Taiji station and there is a bus running to the Temple hotel. Make sure to make note of the time tables in advance or arrange a taxi which takes around 6-7 minutes.

Hot-spring baths and massages can be enjoyed at Nakanoshima, located a 5-minute ferry ride from Kanko Sanbashi pier. Traditional Kaiseki dinners and rooms with views of Nachi Bay are featured.

The ryokan was amazing - the room was beautiful, the futons comfortable, and the staff was very nice and attending. The dinner was very delicious course of several luxurious meals,and the breakfast was a japanese served meal plus a small buffet. The outdoor shared onsen was great, we loved it. Women wear a hotel-provided swimsuit in the outdoor onsen. Men onsen is separated from women and they are open from 6 till 10 and then from the afternoon till midnight. We also tried the private onsen which is an extra charge and needs to be booked in advance and it was nice. There is also a possibility to arrange a massage in your room. The dinner is served at 5 and 7 pm. They provide a free shuttle bus to the station. We plan to definitely come back again in the future, it was a highlight of our trip.
