The boat is called a “jangada”. Due to my lack of Japanese knowledge, I was unable to ask them how they acquired this art. I was moved to see a piece from the region where I spent part of my childhood. Remembering that not every region of Brazil has one. Only this specific one, and it is becoming extinct due to new navigation methods. It is an old navigation method typical of a specific region of Brazil. The room was huge, We were able to spread out quite comfortably and had ample space to organize our luggage. The room also had a small balcony that overlooked a river that had cherry blossom trees in bloom along it. Overall it was a very relaxing atmosphere. We had the breakfast included option and I was quite surprised at the portion size served. There were a couple days I couldn't finish it (though I don't usually have breakfast so my appetite might be a little small) but my partner seemed satisfied. Every morning was a different breakfast for us, which we appreciated. It was mainly Japanese style food with some Western touches. This ryokan is deep in the country in a small, quiet area. There are three or four onsens within walking distance, as well as a small hike with a view of the bay in the distance. There is a community center/onsen newly built about a 10 minute walk away with nice facilities and extremely cheap E-Bike rental. We had a lot of fun biking around the full bloom cherry blossom trees and small residential streets. I really enjoyed the onsen water here as well. It almost feels slippery and your skin and hair feel super smooth after bathing.

Super friendly house in a great location for Suzuka circuit (it's a really simple train ride on a local train, which is less busy than the express trains). The Izakaya associated to the house is also lovely (also a short train ride away).

A very typical house, so probably not everyone likes it, but it's totally my type. It's 5 minutes walking from the station, so also convenient. A house lord speaks English which is rare in the country, is super kind, taking care of guests and helps with everything. We had only one stay in on our way to Ise, but definitely will back there! Very recomended. Oh! And there's karaoke bar with great alcohol !!!

Everything! This place is everything I expected and more. My husband and I came to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, and what a romantic getaway this turned out to be. The wood burning stove adds such a magical element to the experience. The decor and attention to detail were fantastic and really created such a cozy and comfortable space. The records and CD options helped us achieve a relaxed and romantic ambiance. There are so many cooking supplies so we were able to fire roast sweet potatoes and stay in and have yakiniku at home. The sunset was phenomenal and should not be missed, and the stars at night from outside are unreal. I cannot recommend this place enough, it was a perfect weekend for us, and we cannot wait to come back some day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!
